GIF Workshop at the World Nuclear Exhibition 2025
The Generation IV International Forum will be presented at the 2025 World Nuclear Exhibition.
The Generation IV International Forum (GIF) was created as a co-operative international endeavour seeking to develop the research necessary to test the feasibility and performance of fourth generation nuclear systems (Gen-IV systems), and to make them available for industrial deployment. The GIF Framework Agreement is the international treaty that provides the legal foundation for GIF’s mission to advance nuclear energy technologies. It was the world's first agreement created to facilitate international research and development of Generation IV reactor concepts. The new leadership team, starting in January 2025, is committed to advancing the deployment of Gen IV systems and strengthening links with other international initiatives. The ambition of the leadership team is for GIF to remain at the forefront of the technological innovation, pursue our international collaborations in order to boost and accelerate the deployment of Gen IV systems.
This workshop will provide an overview of the work of GIF, with a focus on industrial engagement and accelerating deployment.
