In memoriam of our colleague Joël GUIDEZ

Dear GIF Colleagues,

It is with profound sadness that the Generation IV International Forum (GIF) pays tribute to our colleague and friend Joël Guidez, who passed away recently.

Joël Guidez devoted much of his career to the advancement of Generation IV nuclear systems, making a lasting contribution to the development of innovative, safe, and sustainable energy technologies.

Within the GIF, his expertise, vision, and dedication were instrumental in strengthening international cooperation and in bridging research and industry to move our shared goals from concept to deployment.

Beyond his professional excellence, Joël Guidez will be remembered for his human qualities: his generosity, his collaborative spirit, and his deep commitment to collective progress.

His work and values will continue to inspire the GIF community and future generations of scientists and engineers pursuing the development of next-generation nuclear systems.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues.

The GIF expresses its deepest gratitude for his remarkable contribution and his enduring legacy.
